1/4Salep is a starchy powder from dried Orchid tubers, that is commonly used to make milk and sugar drink as well as pudding.
1cup coarsely chopped pistachios
1teaspoon rose water
2tablespoons Sugar Syrup
Rose petal jam, for garnish
Blend salep powder into 2 tablespoons of the water.
In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine remaining water and milk. Bring to a boil. Add salep mixture and sugar. Reduce heat and let simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Let cool for awhile.
Meanwhile, mix pistachios, rose water, and syrup in large bowl.
Layer pistachio mixture alternatively with pistachio mixture to fill serving glasses.
Garnish with rose petal jam. Serve warm or chilled.
