Fennel

Fennel Seed is the oval, green or yellowishbrown dried fruit of Foeniculum vulgare, a member of the parsley family. Fennel goes well with fish and is used in Italian sausages and some curry powder mixes.

Falafel

Dried fava beans or chickpeas minded, spiced, shaped into balls, and deep-fried; this Egyptian dish is eaten throughout the Middle East with slight variations. It is also called ta’amia.

Fattah

Is a Middle Eastern layered dish, of crusted pita, medium grain cooked rice, cubed boiled meat, drizzled with stock and garlicky tomato sauce.  Usually served during the Eid Aladha celebration.


Fava

Broad or faba bean, of Mediterranean origin; importants as a nutritional component of the diet and as a rotation crop; fava beans can be eaten raw, cooked fresh, or dried and esteemed for the distinct flavor.


Fattoush

A Syrian salad, of pita or other Middle Eastern flatbread toasted and soaked with chopped cucumber, tomatoes, onions, herbs, lemon juice and olive oil.


Fenugreek

called HELBA in arabic ( حلبة )  and has three culinary uses: as an herb (dried or fresh leaves), as a spice (seeds), and as a vegetable (fresh leaves, sprouts, and microgreens).
